We are all victims of sugar and high fructose corn syrup(HFCS); no one chooses to be unhealthy. It is so amazing how we can see that every age, gender, race and nationality are obese or overweight.  I can guarantee that you know someone who is getting old, out of shape, and overweight. Let’s slow down and think of two main products we put in our body today.  A huge amount of our foods and drinks have hfcs or sugar in them today.

I place sugar and hfsc in the same category for one reason; these two products are metabolized (in the body) the same.  A study published in the February 2007 issue of Nutrition by Kathleen J. Melanson, et al., at the University of Rhode Island reviewed the effects of high fructose corn syrup and sugar on circulating levels of glucose, leptin, insulin and ghrelin in a study group of lean women. The study found “no differences in the metabolic effects” of high fructose corn syrup and sugar.

Now let’s get a little deeper; almost everyone knows sugar and HFCS isn’t healthy for your body. If we don’t already know this, let’s think about it. But, do we know why and do we have a solution?  If we take in one can of soda a day we are looking at 150 calories a day times 365 days a year divided by 3500 calories per pound means you are gaining 15.6 pounds in a year from drinking one can of soda a day. This is only having one can of soda a day, many drink more than one. Now let’s think of a number, one hundred and fifty-six. One hundred and fifty-six POUNDS, this is how much added sugar Americans consumes each year on a per capita basis, according to the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA). Imagine it: 31 five-pound bags for each of us.

We learn something new everyday or at the very least we should. It's funny how we know just about everything in regards to our favorite television show but, only know so much about our health.This seems to be our reality, forgetting about our health until it is staring us in the face. It is common knowledge artificial sweeteners are under suspicion for possible negative side effects, but do we realise how dangerous these sweeteners really are? GOOD FATS VS BAD FATS!

Believe it or not your body uses 3 substances for energy; carbohydrates, protein and fat. Carbohydrates and protein contain 4 calories per gram, while fat contains 9 calories per gram. Regardless of how high the fat calories are they are extremely healthy for your body and necessary to keep it running in top shape. Fat is essential to your health because it supports a number of your body's functions. Some vitamins, for example, must have fat to dissolve and nourish your body. But with every up side there is a down side.

There are two main types of potentially harmful fats; saturated fat and trans fat. Saturated fats are the unhealthy fats that raise your LDL, or bad cholesterol and contribute to heart disease. Some examples of saturated fat would include animal products such as fatty meats, whole milk, full-fat ice cream, and Tropical oils (excluding coconut oil, a healthful fat that I strongly advocate- it is no longer implicated in heart disease.)

Trans fats are particularly detrimental because in addition to raising your LDL, they may also lower your HDL, or good cholesterol, which puts you at risk for heart disease. Trans fats are primarily created through the hydrogenation of vegetable oil to extend their shelf life.

Most fats that have a high percent of saturated fat or trans fat are solid at room temperature. Unsaturated fats made up mostly of monounsaturated and polyunsaturated fats are mostly liquid at room temperature.

Choosing unsaturated fats over unhealthful saturated fats may help reduce your LDL, according to the Natural Institutes of Health. The two main types of unsaturated fats would be monounsaturated fat and polyunsaturated fat. Monounsaturated and polyunsaturated fats improves blood cholesterol levels, which can decrease your risk of heart disease. Some examples of unsturated fats include coconut, palm kernel and redpalm kernel oil, seed oils, olive oil, flaxseed oil, and organic butter.

HCG CRISIS!!!

Thanksgiving and Christmas are coming up, and we didn't plan ahead too well. What do we do now??? Using the eHCG during the Holidays or special event is a little hard to do. As we all know Thanksgiving is just around corner and as much as we love the low prices on black Friday that's not usually what Thanksgiving is all about. It about spend time with the family while pigging out. Now, with that being said how are we suppose to get through the holiday or any other special events we may have? We have a huge choice to make here, with little choices to choose from. The best thing to do is stick with the program, this will be a little challenging but in the end this will pay off. The traditional turkey is not better for you; it does slow down you metabolize so be careful if you are thinking that turkey and veggies will be the perfect replacement.

The second choice you have is to have (dare I say this) a cheat day, we don't recommend it but if you are going to do it we want to make sure you do this right. The day before your cheat day try to get a carb blocker. If a carb blocker is not available this is ok it is just recommended for best results. On the day of your cheat day do not stop the drops continue on as if you weren't on the cheat day. The day after your cheat day you will follow up with an apple day. An apple day consists of 6 large apples for the whole day with nothing else. The only water you could consume at this time is only enough to clinch your thirst or take with your medication. After the apple day the next day you will go back to the normal 500 calories.  Keep in mind cheating on the program will set you back a couple days and there is a chance that most likely YOU WILL GAIN.  When doing the program on a special holiday or even maybe treat yourself to a taste refreshing treat such as strawberry lemonade.

Straw

  • Strawberry Lemonade
  • Water
  • Juice of lemon to taste (only allowed the juice of 1 lemon throughout theday)
  • Strawberries
  • Stevia natural
  • Mix all together and serve.

Why 23 days but no longer than 40 days?

The eHCG program is designed to be completed in no shorter than 23 days and no longer than 40 days. At the end of the program you would be required to stay on the 500 calories for three more days, this is a very important part of the program. If you start eating normal when there is HCG in your body you will put on weight at the end of the treatment. On the fourth day, when all the HCG has been eliminated this does not happen, because the blood is no longer saturated with food and can thus accommodate an extra influx from the intestines without increasing its volume by retaining water.   

The HCG works with the hypothalamus to target abnormal fat and use them for well needed energy thus allowing healthy fat to maintain its protective function as a cushion around organs and skeletal structures. The abnormal fat deposits are what an overweight person suffers from. It is locked away in fixed deposits. HCG works on a part of the brain to pry loose the unwanted fats.  It takes 23 days for the body to reset the hypothalamus. If stopped before the 23 day period it is much easier to regain back the unwanted weight. As soon as the person loses all the abnormal superfluous fat and you didn't reach the 23 days, on 500 calories you start to feel hungry. In this case you need to stay on the HCG and are put on 800-1000 calories for the rest of the program. HCG only puts abnormal fats into circulation and cannot liberate normal fat deposits.

The reason for limiting a course to 40 days is because some start to show signs of HCG immunity. When the HCG is continued past 40 days the patients could begin to look weary and drawn, feel weak and hungry and any further loss of weight achieved is at the expense of normal fat. This is not only undesirable, but normal fat is also instantly regained as soon as the patient is returned to a free diet.It takes approximately 6 weeks before the immunity is lost and HCG again becomes fully effective.

Top 10 Tips To Prevent Getting Sick

  1.  Wash your hands. Washing your hands with soap and water is probably the best way to avoid getting sick. Keeping hands clean is one of the most important steps we can take to avoid spreading germs to others. Many diseases and conditions are spread by not washing hands with soap and clean water.

  2. Don’t touch your face. Even when you clean your hands germs or parasites still have a chance of being on them. Parasites are only dangerous if  they get inside your body. The easiest place to transmit illness is through mucous membranes such as your eyes, mouth and nose. 
     
  3. Avoid sick people. Germs are everywhere, but they are particularly concentrated in people who are sick. Keep these people away from you and disinfect everything they touch.
     
  4. Don’t Share foods in huge groups  Try avoiding large party dips that involve dipping directly into the bowl rather than scooping with a clean spoon onto individual plates. Why? People may use the hand that was just sneezed in to turn a chip around a few times until they find the perfect dipping angle. That means they are adding their nasty germs directly into the dip.

BAD NEWS ABOUT THE HCG!!!

Depending on how you did on the HCG, I have some partially bad news. You could have done better! And I mean that in a good way. But I've never been any good at hyping things, so I'll just share this inspiring story with you. She sent me an email telling me about her victory. Here is how she did it.
